About Bear's Creations

Hello, my name is Bear! I'm a young crafter with HUGE dreams! My business is based in Illinois!

 

I've always loved art, but I have never felt that I'm good enough to sell my art. You know, I'm your typical loner artist who doesn't have many friends and was bullied a lot in school.... But, I taught myself how to crochet in March of 2020, and from then on I was hooked (literally)! Crocheting has given me a really good way to get away from life. And I finally realized that this could be the best way to sell my art.

After only knowing how to crochet for 4 months, I decided to start selling some things at my local farmers markets. It went really well, but I wanted to (and knew I could) do so much more. With my newfound love of crochet, I began my own small business on October 28th, 2020! I designed my own patterns and products to sell, and I new right away that I wanted to continue doing this for a long, long time.

My sales took off in the beginning of January 2021 when I launched Skylar the Stress Ball! All of the sales gave me hope that my business would actually succeed. It was amazing to go through the processes of figuring out the best packaging for my orders, knowing where best to get shipping labels, finding the easiest and quickest way for me to make my stress balls, etc. I have done so many restocks of Skylar since the launch, and I cannot be more grateful for that.

Now, on October 28th, 2021, exactly a year after I started selling on Etsy, I'm ready to grow my business even more. I decided to make the MASSIVE decision to create my own website! But, I'm also rebranding! My name used to be TheCrochetingBear, but now it's Bear's Creations. Never would I have imagined being able to grow my business and sell my art at such a young age, but I am ready and super excited to do this! Everything has been so amazing up until now, and I am currently working on making a full transition from my Etsy shop to this website.
